Biola University: Internal Communications and Press Releases

Sports Information

From January to April 2020, I served as a sports information (media) intern for Biola’s athletics department. My duties included updating athlete bio pages on the athletics.biola.edu website with new information, taking highlight videos and live tweeting during games, running scoreboard operations during home basketball games, and writing press releases about events and incoming athletes.

Center for Career Development

From August 2019 to May 2020, I worked as a peer internship ambassador for Biola’s center for career development, where I specialized in resume reviews and managed internal and external communications for the 17-person staff of student workers at the career center. My duties included writing and editing posts for Biola’s Student Life Blog on behalf of the career center, generating mass emails to be sent out to the majority of Biola’s student body, and assisting the career center’s assistant director in overall communications and social media strategy. I was re-hired as a temporary content assistant for a six-week period from May-June 2020, during which I helped conduct a survey of recent Biola graduates in addition to continuing my content generation duties.
